The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at CamTech University has a philosophy deeply rooted in a proactive response to the dynamic challenges facing our world today, particularly in the context of Industry Revolution 4.0 and its environmental and social implications. Teaching and Learning Philosophy

SGS understands the dynamic educational landscape of the 21st century and tailors our curriculum to suit the needs of our graduate students. We place great emphasis on adult education and employ innovative delivery methods, including flipped learning and blended learning methods. Our teaching and learning principles strongly encourage:

  • Involvement: Active participation in planning and evaluation processes.
  • Past Experiences: Leverage previous successes and mistakes for future learning.
  • Relevant Topics: Emphasize immediate relevance and impact.
  • Problem-Centric Learning: Prioritize practical problem-solving over memorization.

Admission Requirements

Master’s Degree

Students can be admitted only if they meet all of the following conditions.

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.20 from an accredited educational institution in Cambodia or overseas;
  • Have an English language proficiency score that meets one of the following tests below
    • IELTS with a minimum of 6.0; the writing band must not be less than 6
    • TOEFL iBT with a minimum of 60
    • TOEFL PBT with a minimum of 500
    • CEFE with a minimum of B2;
  • Have a research proposal that can be turned into a thesis;
  • Have a proven track record of publications (if any);
  • Submit two letters of recommendation. At least one of them must come from a university professor.
  • Noteworthy achievements that could contribute to a Recognition of Prior Learning assessment (if any).

Doctoral Degree

Students can be admitted only if they meet all of the following conditions.

  • Hold a master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.50 from an accredited educational institution in Cambodia or overseas;
  • Have an English language proficiency score that meets one of the following tests below
    •  IELTS with a minimum of 6.5 with no individual band less than 6
    • TOEFL iBT with a minimum of 80
    • TOEFL PBT with a minimum of 550
    • CEFE with a minimum of C1;
  •  Have a strong research proposal that can be turned into a doctoral dissertation;
  • Have a proven track record of publications (if any)
  •  Be accepted by a CamTech doctoral supervisor who will be designated as the student’s principal supervisor;
  • Submit two letters of recommendation. At least one of them must come from a university professor;
  • Noteworthy achievements that could contribute to a Recognition of Prior Learning assessment (if any).

Program Schedule

The program follows the trimester system, where the academic year is divided
into three terms. Each term lasts at least 15 weeks. In general, coursework takes up
the first year. Students then take around six additional terms to work on their
thesis and journal publication.

In terms of study schedule, the graduate students are expected to study on

  • Friday 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
  • Saturday 8:00 am – 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm: 3:30 pm
