Abstract: “AI is a rapidly developing field with the potential to transform many aspects of society. Cambodia is still in the early stages of AI development, but there are many opportunities for this technology to benefit the country. Some of the industries that are seen as benefiting from AI in Cambodia are healthcare, education, and finance. However, there are also challenges that come with the use of AI. These challenges include the need for specialized skills and expertise, as well as the need to address ethical and privacy concerns. Additionally, there is a concern that AI will take jobs away from unskilled or easily automated workers. In order to foster trustworthy AI ecosystems, it is essential for countries to develop human-centered policies that promote socio-economic and responsible AI research and development. These policies should take into account the country’s national development vision as well as regional and global trends.”
