In today’s digital era, artificial intelligence (AI) presents itself as a powerful tool with both positive and negative implications. On the one hand, AI streamlines tasks, offers personalized recommendations, and enhances decision-making. On the other hand, it can perpetuate bias, compromise privacy, and potentially replace jobs, impacting the economy. It is crucial to approach AI development with care, considering its potential consequences. The Center for Buddhist AI Ethics was established in June 2023 to address these issues.
