Observing that artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an important role in supporting and promoting economic growth and building a digital society in the Cambodian context, CamTech University in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and AI-Cambodia organized an artificial intelligence forum on “Artificial Intelligence and Society” on the afternoon of August 10, 2022. The forum was attended by representatives from relevant ministries, universities, research institutes, the private sector, and students (Quadruple Helix), with financial support from ISI Group, KMH Foundation, Huawei Technologies (Cambodia), and Canadia Bank. The Artificial Intelligence Forum was held in order to examine the aspects of the use of artificial intelligence technology in Cambodia today and the future trends and effects of this technology on society as a whole, as well as to highlight the main policies of the Royal Government for promoting and strengthening technological development in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. The forum also acted as a catalyst to promote dialogue and strengthen cooperation among stakeholders to anticipate opportunities and address key issues such as privacy, security and safety, education, health, labor markets, industrial development, and skills development or innovation in the digital age.
