Aspiring to be a learned community, CamTech faculty and staff hold their weekly reading club every Friday afternoon. During our 38th week, there was a great discussion on the topic “Pedagogical content knowledge in higher education”. It was concluded that the content knowledge of a teacher is very important but he/she does not have to know everything in the area. The more important thing is how the knowledge is delivered, especially in the field of STEM. Instead of theory, practical experience and fieldwork should be more of the focus. At CamTech, our curriculum is based on project-based learning implemented through internship, entrepreneurship projects, and exposure visits to industry partners.
