Head of Finance 01 position

Job Description

  • Budget preparation and management activities.
  • Develop financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps or variances.
  • Manage cash controls as well as maintain book keeping up-to-date.
  • Track investments and maintain relevant cash reserves.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, invoices, proposals, etc. as required.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are properly updated and recorded.

Job Requirements

  • Master Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Have proven a minimum of 5 years’ financial management experience.
  • Experience in overseeing financial and accounting systems, compliance reviews, audits, financial control reporting, and risk management.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with people
  • Ability to work independently and to focus on results.
  • Stress and time management skills, ability to work under pressure
  • Computer skill (MS Excel, Word, Quick book and common accounting application)
  • Good command of English and Khmer, including writing skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an education sector is an advantage.
Head of Marketing and Communication 01 position

Job Description

** A Head of Marketing and Communications primary duty is to oversee the entire marketing department. This responsibility involves assessing and creating your University’s marketing plan and marketing strategy, and then planning, coordinating and directing marketing efforts. Building brand awareness, including positioning.

  • Coordinating marketing projects from beginning to end.
  • Compiling lists that describe the University’s offerings.
  • Identifying the University’s potential customers.
  • Creating and managing agencies or partnerships for advertising campaigns.
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, profit/loss projections, expenditure spending, and other financial considerations
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for the marketing team.
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities and other internal teams on marketing materials and cause studies
  • Conduct research and market study of the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas.
  • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand.

Book Lover/ Library Assistant 01 position

Job Description

  • Helping students/members locate books.
  • Helping students/members find material online.
  • Checking books in and out at the front desk.
  • Sorting and shelving books according to their categorization.
  • Registering new students/customers and maintaining and updating students/members profiles.
  • Maintaining records of books taken out and books brought back.
  • Cataloging new arrivals.
  • Assisting students/customers with internet access and ensuring their technical needs are met.
  • Organizing the repair of damaged books.
  • Inspecting the condition of books before and after check-out to ascertain any damage on behalf of the students/customers.
  • Managing inquiries over the counter and via email or telephone.
  • Assisting with library events and reading sessions.

  • Settling any disruptions or disturbances in the library.

Requirements

Interns to the Center for Socio-Economic Research 03 positions

Responsibilities:

  1. Research Tasks:
    • Assist the center in doing literature review and collecting information;
    • Participate in conducting interview and surveys;
    • Assist in the transcribing of interview data and writing up interview notes;
    • Assist in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis;
    • Initiate innovative research ideas and communication of research findings;
    • Assist the center with the liaison with relevant local and international partners as well as government agencies;
    • Support the center in overall research related activities;
    • Assist the center and the university in any other task as requested by the immediate supervisor and the president.
  2. Non-research Tasks:
    • Provide teaching assistance;
    • Provide the research team with general administrative support in their field work;
    • Assist in the organization of meetings and workshops both in Phnom Penh and in provinces;

    • Assist in documenting projects as well as working record;

Qualifications:

  • Senior students or recent university graduates, preferably in the field of economics, media and communication, education, international relation, social sciences, or a related field;
  • Skills in graphic design are an advantage;
  • Keen interest in social as well as interdisciplinary research especially in the field of data science and machine learning;
  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage;
  • Positive attitude, commitment to excellence, and good team work;
  • Good computer literacy;
  • Willingness to learn new things and undertake a variety of duties as required by the supervisor;
  • Full-time commitment to work in this position for a minimum of six months.
