To promote the Triple Helix Model, the Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech) and the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MISTI) co-hosted a multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder consultation workshop on “Cambodia National Technology Roadmap for Education 2021 – 2030: Enhancing Education with Technology” On December 01, 2021 with support from the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) of South Korea. The consultation workshop was participated by relevant stakeholders from various backgrounds and representatives from EdTech Committee, the National Council for Science, Technology, and Innovation, research institutes, universities, private sectors, practitioners, school leadership, government officials, and students. The purpose of the workshop was to identify and gather input for vision, goals, strategic products and services, and key advanced technologies to support the diffusion of technology in the Cambodian educational sector.
Four areas of educational technology, namely The Essentials, Management System, Enhancing Apparatus, and Capacity Building have been identified as the pillar of focus. Additionally, all stakeholders have come to an agreement that active collaboration among universities, industry, and government is of great significance in steering the development and implementation of the national roadmap to achieve desirable outcomes. It is CamTech’s privilege to undertake this prestigious task to develop the Cambodia National Technology Roadmap and contribute to the ongoing efforts in promoting education innovation in the country.
